Abio Angel Large Dolls are a 59.9-61.5cm doll line with 8-9 wig sized heads that take 18-20mm sized eyes. They are considered an affordable option and were priced around $240 on Divinity Doll. Sculpt names are from the Chinese symbols and names for numbers. For example, Ling means Zero in Chinese: 凌 Ling (Zero).[1]
You may find that Abio Angel heads have thick eyewells. Owners have modded this area to better fit eyes.[2] Abio Angel heads use a headback system but do not have magnets. Instead, the headcap is attached using notches that extrude from the headcap and insert into the head. [3] The headcap does not attach to the s-hook like older dolls initially did. The head has square grooves for the s-hook to sit in. [4]
Bodies have single joints and two part torsos. Lower leg and arm parts have a carved out area on to allow the single joints to bend farther than 90 degrees.[5] Their bodies are sometimes mistaken for Bobobie doll due to the similar hand shape, proportions, and rib detail on the male body. This may be due to the fact the founder of Bobobie original worked for the founder of Abio Angel.
Discontinuation and New Releases[]
A new male body, hands, and heads were revealed late 2007 along with discontinuation news of their regular resin color and 8 initial sculpts. The new resin would be french resin. [6] However, pictures of new sculpts are difficult to find and it is unclear what new sculpts made it to release. 十五 Shi-Wu (Fifteen) is an example of a new 2008 release.
